It seems that a cold has taken over my house this weekend. It started with Noah, then hit the baby, followed by me, and then the hubs. Cameron, as usual, hasn’t been phased.

At any rate, this cold caused me to limit the amount of time the boys spent outside in our ever chillier weather. Of course, this meant bored kids stuck in the house…

So we decided to bake ice cream cone cupcakes. The boys had a blast, and I really enjoyed spending the quality time with them.

We didn’t let the cold get the better of us. Instead, we enjoyed the simple pleasures and spent time together.

The boys later presented one of their ice cream cone cupcakes to their dad, trying to fool him into believing it was really ice cream. Sounds silly, but it’s moments like this that I think we will all look back and remember one day. We all felt so terrible, but we managed to find some joy in our day.

Today, I challenge you all to do the same. Take time to do something to bring joy into your day, something simple. Even the smallest gesture can make a significant difference in your experience. As you take small steps toward bringing happiness into your every-day, notice how you feel.

You’ll find that feeling good is one key to reaching your personal fulfillment.
P.S. I posted the recipe for the ice cream cone cupcakes here if you’re interested in checking it out!

Spending quality time with the family brings about so much JOY. One of my fave quotes…”The best thing we can spend on our children is time.”

Hope you and the family get better soon!!
