Bee Stylish: Stella McCartney

Russian model Natalia Vodianova starred his Stella McCartney’s spring 2015 ad campaign, her seventh for the brand.

London-based rookie photographer Harley Weir shot the veteran model in Ibiza. The shoot was styled by McCartney and features her Falabella bags close-up around Vodianova’s face.

McCartney’s newest ads are set to break in March issues of fashion titles, and will run as six images in a single page and double page spreads.

There is also a mood film featuring Paul McCartney’s 1971 song “Ram On” to accompany the still images, according to WWD.

Back in May, McCartney spoke out about sustainability in fashion and how she incorporates environmentally-friendly practices into her high end label.

The British fashion designer, known for her leather and fur-free collections, spoke of her company’s conscious strategies at the FT Business of Luxury Summit in Mexico City.

Her spring 2015 collection is being lauded for using no leather or fur, consistently standing by her advocacy for environmentally friendly and cruelty-free fashion.

“I was always brought up with a sense of values, a sense of responsibility, so when I started in the fashion industry, it was a no-brainer to approach it in a way that was conscious,” McCartney told Luxury Daily back in May. “For me, I don’t really treat the fashion industry any differently than I would treat any other business.”

Despite the luxury fashion industry’s love for using animal material, the designer insists her label has thrived due to both the design and sustainably aspects. This is done by giving consumers beautiful, quality products without sacrificing the Earth’s resources.

Being an environmentally friendly brand comes with extra difficulties other labels woudn’t normally have to deal with. Despite the obstacles, McCartney has found ways to elevate her beloved business, which is inter-weaved with ethics and values.
