My Two Cents: What happens when the kids grow up and leave?

What happens when the kids grow up and leave? You know, the good old “empty nest syndrome.”
Want my two cents? This has been one of the questions I have been dealing with for some time now. We all love our children but at the same time, we do really want them to grow up and become independent.
The empty nest.
Who is left when the kids are all grown and gone? Is that really when the pain begins?
You are left alone all the time with your mate, if you’ve got one. All the time. How fun is that?
Well it starts out fun, and the time goes on. And then? You run out of things to do.
The love making, the late night movies, dinner with a friends and walking around the house nude. It all becomes…the norm. No longer is it exciting or “taboo.”
But being a mother, a lot of times you want someone to take care of. You want someone who looks for you to take care of them when they are not feeling well. Who only want their mommies.
If you ask me? This job will never been done, being a mommy. Just My 2 Cents.
