Affirmations & Reflections: Winning in the Midst of a Loss
I win even in the midst of a loss.
Disappointments are a part of life and losses are inevitable. However, negative experiences make the positive ones even more worthwhile. Plus, I strive to turn every loss into a win. I might win something other than what I expected, but it’s a win nevertheless.
Sure, I know what it feels like to lose. I admit to feeling down and disappointed when something I work hard to achieve slips out of reach. But I also know what it feels like to win, so I gain knowledge from each disappointment that can help me win more often.
Whenever something works out unfavorably, I analyze the sequence of events and look for a probable cause of the disappointing result.
I can usually find the culprit in a weakness here or choice there. What I learn is enlightening and most rewarding!
Experiencing a loss makes future victories and successes that much sweeter. I feel more pleased when I win something after suffering a loss in the past. I believe my losses make me better equipped to succeed and look forward in anticipation to future victories.
Today, I vow to enjoy my rewards, even if they are something other than victory. I know that there is a shining moment out there for me, and I commit to making myself ready to seize that moment when it comes.
