In case you weren’t aware, today is the UN sanctioned “Universal Children’s Day.” What a perfect chance to remember how grateful we are to have these little blessings in our lives! Even when your kids are making you incredibly crazy, it’s hard to deny how much you love them, and how hard it would be to imagine life without them.

Pictured here are my kids. I think y’all know how strongly I feel about them, but in case you don’t, understand this: I would do anything within my power to keep them safe and to make sure that they’re happy. That certainly doesn’t make me unique–I think that most parents would do the same.

Today, remember to be grateful for your kids. Be grateful for every second you have with them, even the chaotic ones. They grow up so fast, and one day, I know I’ll be looking back and missing these days. How about you?

So today, I challenge you to take a few moments to do a little something special for your kids to let them know you care. So tell me, what’s your plan? What “little thing” will you do today to show your kids how much you love them?

  1. I don’t have a daughter but Girlfriend does. Girlfriend also suffers from migraines which has her currently out of commission so I will be going over and taking care of things there tonight. Nothing new though, just what I do.

(If I sat through Mama Mia with her this will be a piece of cake. lol)

  2. Good post sis.

Yes, kids really grow so fast and before you know it, they`re already on their own… It`s really good that you`re being a good parent and a mother to them. That would surely one of the best thing they would surely remember when they grow up.

Keep it up sis. I know you`re a great mom. And for that, you deserve a kudos!

  3. I am nursing my sick baby back to health.

  4. You always write something so beautiful.
I have my oldest (21) living with me now. She has been ill (unable to walk unassisted) for a short time, and they’re still trying to figure out what exactly is going on. I took family leave from work but that 12 wks will end next week; I’ve just put in for a leave of absence for a year. I don’t want her to be alone for a moment!

  5. Angie,

  7. Today was our Noa’s 3rd birthday!! We had family over and made Noa’s favorite Japanese dish called Tonkatsu. He loved it!! He loves cake and ice cream, so of course, Mommy and Daddy got him an Oreo ice cream cake!! Yummy!! We had a blast and he enjoyed his day.

Kids certainly do grow up quickly. He’s doing “big” boy things now, but he’ll always be our baby!!

    Many Blessings….
    Roxanne and Hugo
