Something I’ve found helps me get through the tough times is to find little joys throughout the day. Today, one of my little joys involved a small package of cell-phone bling that I purchased through a fundraiser for my cousin Reid’s school band.
Since my mom was helping me deal with the issues of the day, she and I decorated our phones along the way to pass the time. What do you think? I say FABULOUS!!
As you can see, there’s a lot to smile about when it comes to cell-phone bling. 🙂 After these little gems were on my phone, I smiled each time I glanced its way. I love pink and bling. 🙂
Then, after the difficulties of the day subsided, we decided to stop for lunch, at which time my mom thought it would be cute to try her new shades on my daughter. Needless to say, I was forced to whip out my blingy cell phone and snap this shot.
Now, be honest…who can resist smiling when a beautiful baby is sporting some blingy shades…and PINK?? Not I, my friends, not I.
Let me get to the bottom line here. Continuing my message from yesterday, keep noticing those little bits of joy in your life. When you realize that there’s always something to smile about, even if it’s something tiny and seemingly pointless, it’s something for which to be grateful. And really, folks, gratitude is one of the major keys to personal fulfillment. That is, after all, the ultimate goal, is it not?
So today I charge you with this: notice two things that make you smile, and let yourself feel the joy that comes from them. Remember to express your gratitude to the universe, and just let yourself enjoy the moment. Do this often, and you’ll soon find that things are turning around for you.
Learn it, live it, love it!
